The Croatian Film Festival NYC is an annual celebration of the best that Croatian cinema has to offer. Our first annual festival will screen 18  films in multiple venues throughout New York.

This year's films will be shown at the Tribeca Cinemas and at the Museum of the Moving Image. Each of these films represents new works by major Croatian directors.

The opening reception and panel discussion regarding distribution of Croatian films in the U.S. will be held Thursday, September 13th at the Tribeca Cinemas at 6pm. A concert given by the Croatian group Svadbas will take place at the Knitting Factory on Thursday, September 13th at 8pm. Screenings at the Museum of the Moving Image are scheduled for Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th. The closing reception will take place at the Museum of the Moving Image on Sunday, September 16th at 6 pm.

This will be the inaugural festival of what is to become a major annual cultural event in the Greater New York Area. It also represents a great opportunity for New York City as well as for numerous enthusiasts of foreign film to see the best in contemporary Croatian cinema.
